About

Catholic Campus Ministry is an outreach to the students of Southeast Missouri State University proclaiming the beauty of the Catholic faith.

The Mission Statement of Catholic Campus Ministry is:

CCM gathers the Catholics on campus for prayer, worship, learning, service, and social activities. Together we strive to bring the light of the Gospel to illumine concerns and hopes of the university community. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, all members of the Church on campus are called, according to their own gifts and talents, to be a sign and instrument of the kingdom in the academic world at Southeast Missouri State University.

Founded in 1914, CCM will soon be celebrating its 100th anniversary of being present on campus.

Our facilities include the Newman Center, named after Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman, which serves as our administrative offices and sees much student traffic throughout the day and evenings.  We also have the Marquette Student Center to the left of the Newman Center, which is named after Fr. Jacques Marquette, a missionary priest who ministered to the people of the area in the late 17th century, and this building serves as a place for meetings, formation activities, study and relaxation.  We are also blessed to have the Blessed Sacrament present in St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel located directly behind the Newman Center.  Daily Mass and Adoration is held in the Chapel which is open throughout the day for students to stop in and pray.

Please feel free to stop by anytime and get involved!
